Harry Nyquist (1889-1976) came from Nilsby and thanks to his outstanding mathematical aptitude he came to be a consultant for the United States Department of Defense, among other things. The Nyquist frequency and the Nyquist stability criterion can be difficult to digest for the uninitiated, but in practice they have changed our way of communicating.
